DebbieFlood_London_LRC.jpg

Join British Olympic rower Debbie Flood at London Rowing Club as she discusses her sporting career, what motivates her and her continuing support of young athletes, with SPCK author Andy Frost.

Your whole ticket price will go to Diffusion – the programme which helps prisoners improve their reading skills and reduce their chances of reoffending. If you can't attend the event, you can make a donation to the programme here: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/booksforprisoners

Included in the cost of your ticket is: a drinks reception with canapes and a goody bag to take away worth £30.

Debbie Flood has had an extraordinary career representing Great Britain in the women's double and quadruple sculls. She won Bronze at the 1998 Junior World Championships in the Double Sculls and finished her career by competing at London 2012. Along the way, she won gold three times at the World Rowing Championships and picked up two silver medals at the Olympic games. In 2012, she was elected captain of the Leander Club in Henley on Thames; the first woman to hold this role in over 200 years!

Debbie is a fantastic role model for young men and women who want to pursue a career in elite sport. She now works with Christians in Sport, mentoring young elite athletes.

We are so excited that Debbie has agreed to speak at this event and cannot wait to hear about her experiences! Don't miss out - book your tickets here today on Eventbrite:
