Metropolitan Amateur Regatta

The Metroplitan Amateur Regatta, or simply "The Met", was first held on the River Thames at Putney on 14 August 1866.  Since 1869, the regatta has been managed by London Rowing Club and since 2001, has been held at Dorney Lake, the rowing venue for the 2012 Olympic Games.
