Rowing on the Thames holds a very special place in the hearts of Londoners and has played a significant role in the development of the city. Rowing livelihoods have now all but disappeared from the capital, but the sport of Rowing is in the ascendancy and with a rich heritage in sport sponsorship, it only seemed natural for Hackett to support the prestigious London Rowing Club, being situated a mile or so away from where Hackett first laid it’s foundations on the New King’s Road.
Since 2006 Hackett has sponsored the Club and in that time has built up a very significant relationship with the LRC. The LRC Boat house has proved a very desirable back-drop for photo shoots in various magazines and brochures. The Boathouse also provides the focus for Hackett when they entertain members of the Press from Europe on Boat Race day, who revel in the quintessential Englishness of both the occasion and surroundings. With one Hackett Christmas party there and another planned the Clubhouse already has a soft spot for the Hackett staff, we even had our first Hackett wedding there in August.

Hackett has also played it’s part in spreading the LRC word, by successfully producing LRC emblazoned sportswear and distributing it far and wide, from Andalucia to Athens, you might even spot some down under in Melbourne!
Let’s hope the relationship continues for many more years and see you in the Clubhouse.
